COLLOSA obtains a Product Environmental Declaration for the bituminous mixture applied in one of the test sections of the BattleCO2 project
One of the main problems when carrying out environmental evaluations in the bidding of works is how to achieve environmental criteria that are measurable by means of an objective method.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) solve this problem by providing environmental impact assessments endorsed by external certifying bodies. In this case, Collosa has obtained the DAP for a mixture AC16 surf 50/70 S endorsed by the EPD program of Environdec.
The results obtained are part of the work programmed in the LIFE BattleCO2 project, which is in its final phase.
The DAP bring transparency to the activities of the companies, an element that should be properly valued by the public administrations in the bidding processes for works.
